Calling all avid toy and doll collectors: One of our favorite events is almost here! The 42nd Annual Chicago Toy Show takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2015 and we couldn’t be more excited. With six buildings of the Kane County Fairgrounds filled with more than 600 exhibitors, the event is bursting with antiques, collectables and mementos from our youths.
This year, Gigi’s Dolls and Sherry’s Teddy Bears, Inc. will be located in the Doll Building at the east end of the fairgrounds. We have attended every year of this spectacular show and are excited to be getting together with friends old and new once again to share our love of dolls!
With so many shops taking part in this year’s event we recommend collectors and enthusiasts get here early to ensure there is time to take everything in. Open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., parking is free. Adult tickets cost $9 and children under the age of 12 are free.
A Room Trading event will also be held on the Thursday and Friday before the big show, where dealers will have a chance to mingle and sell merchandise ahead of time.
